Shaq Was Slinging Drinks With Trisha Yearwood At Garth’s Friends In Low Places Nashville Bar

Maybe Shaq is a better bartender than he is at making free throws.

Over the weekend, Garth Brooks’ Broadway bar, Friends In Low Places, had a very special guest… Trisha Yearwood.

Just kidding. While Trisha Yearwood is a great surprise to see at the bar, since she and her husband own it, you can expect them there a time or two to make sure that their “Chick-fil-A” of honky tonks is staying in line. But really the star of the show, was NBA legend Shaquille O’Neal

Shaq was in Nashville DJing under his stage name, DJ Diesel, but before his show, he and Yearwood got behind the bar and made a few drinks for the people hanging out.

In the clip posted to social media, Shaq towers over everyone as he and Yearwood sling drinks before he makes his way up to the stage to hype up the performers (or maybe he is moving on from Ice Spice and shooting his shot).

You truly never know who you are going to see in Nashville. Garth really missed out on a business opportunity by not booking Shaq to DJ his new bar…seems like it would fit right in with “Apple Bottom Jeans.”

Maybe Shaq was just looking for the bodies… he is a police officer after all…

Bones In The Logo?

Bones, eh?

And ahead of the opening, Garth gave everybody a sneak peak at what they could expect from Broadway’s newest bar:

“I want the Chick-fil-a of honky tonks. I want a place you go in where you feel good, you feel safe. Everybody’s got good manners.

I’m hoping that there’s right when you walk in it’s a ‘Love Everybody’ stated right there. That’s what it’s about, right? So I want a place that’s just safe. That feels good.”

And he also revealed that the bar would close at 2 AM, instead of the usual 3 AM closing time of most bars in downtown Nashville, and would stop playing live music at midnight in order to cut down on noise on Broadway.

But one thing that people still have questions about: What’s with the logo?

The logo for Garth’s new bar, which seems to be going with a tiki theme, features the name written out in bones…which obviously has fed into the “where are the bodies” jokes and the whole meme about Garth being a serial killer. (If you’re not familiar with that whole joke, which was started by comedian Tom Segura, we’ve got you covered).

Well during a preview of the new bar, Garth was asked why he chose bones for the logo… and didn’t do anything to quiet the speculation that there are 300 bodies buried somewhere in his backyard.

“It’s just what’s left on a deserted island.

It could have been bamboo.”

You’re right Garth, it could have been bamboo…but it isn’t. Why’s that, Garth?
