Is it hot in here, or is it just me?

Riley Green released a new song today called “Worst Way,” which is part of his forthcoming Way Out Here EP, and like already I told y’all, the ladies are gonna love this one… imagine how many bras are going to get thrown at him during this song at a live show.

The super sexy song is the only solo write he has on the aforementioned EP, and I’m telling you, there’s just something about the songs he writes by himself that hit different (“I Wish Grandpas Never Died” and “Numbers on the Cars” come to mind as much less steamy examples).

I mean, just take a look at the second verse…

“Baby, that don’t mean that I
Don’t love to go wine and dine you
That ain’t on the menu tonight
‘Cause I think I need to remind you
That your skin on my skin
Feels just like heaven to me
You look like an angel tonight
But you might wanna slip off those wings”

Aside from the fact that it’s a rare love song of sorts from the Alabama native, and the content of the lyrics is clearly a little bit distracting, it’s very well-written and I’m sure will quickly become another fan-favorite.

Also, as a random side note, the line that says “close all the blinds, lock all the doors, put away anything that’ll break” kind of reminds me of Eric Church’s “Like A Wrecking Ball,” which makes me wonder if that inspired this song in any way but I digress…

Honestly, the top YouTube comment summed it up best:

“A lot of babies gonna be made off this one buddy.”

Can’t argue with that… check it out:

Also included on the seven-song Way Out Here EP tracklist are several other unreleased tunes he’s teased before in “Good Morning from Mexico,” “Pick a Place,” “Worst Way” and his current single at country radio, “Damn Good Day to Leave.”

The project slated to drop on Friday, April 12th, the day Riley kicks off his inaugural Duckman Jam festival.
