Another heater from The Weathered Souls.

The six piece southern rock outfit has a brand new song out today called “You,” which is a sexy, rocking ballad with a driving electric guitar that finds frontman Brock Roggow laying down some stunning vocals on every verse:

“Now that the times come,
You got your hands on me,
My hear’s beatin’ out of my chest and I can barely breathe
I got the fever, I’m burnin up with lust
But no more, no more
No more, no more waitin’ on you”

It’s the driving production and aforementioned vocals that really sell this song, and I’ve had it on repeat all morning.

Hailing from the small town of Greenville, in the same region of the Lonestar State from which powerhouses like Whiskey Myers and Koe Wetzel got their start, The Weathered Souls is certainly a band that needs to be on everyone’s radar.

Complete with that gritty, soulful sound I love, a lot of the music is backed by a guitar heavy attack and highlighted by impressive songwriting. While still a relatively new act on the scene that released their first music in 2021, they’ve been steadily adding to their catalog over the last few years (including an album called Till The Morning Comes and an acoustic EP last year) and this new song is easily one of my favorites.

And in addition to “You” dropping across streaming platforms, we’re pleased to premiere the official music video today, which finds them in the studio playing the new song and highlights their exciting and impressive live performance style.

Check it out and make sure you give the new tune a download, you won’t regret it:
