The Weathered Souls Announce Surprise Live Acoustic EP

The Weathered Souls

What a way to kick off the week.

If The Weathered Souls have not crossed your radar yet, it’s time to change that.

The Texas-based southern rock band follows in the footsteps of some of the Lone Star state’s best, like Whiskey Myers and Southall. The perfect combination of rock and roll with Texas country roots.

The group breaks the rules of country rock through each of their tracks, defining their sound through their heavy guitar riffs and raspy vocals.

The Weathered Souls are not playing by the rules of dropping music on Fridays and hit fans with a surprise announcement that a live EP is on the way to streaming platforms tonight.

“We’ve got a live acoustic EP comin’ out tonight at midnight…”

The album they released earlier this year, Till The Morning Comes, features gritty lyrics and a rockin’ sound, so I am thrilled to hear a more stripped-back side of the group. The track layered behind the teaser video features a section of the acoustic version of a track titled “Hynotizied,” which is not currently released on streaming platforms.

I am stoked to hear what songs from Till The Morning Comes gets pulled for the EP and what new tracks await.

To fully appreciate the acoustic versions of their tracks, check out a few of my favorites from The Weathered Souls.

“Rolling Thunder”

“Don’t Pray For Me”

“Take My Sins”

“Till The Morning Comes”
