Now I wish I was at a concert…

Today, Cody Jinks released an awesome new live performance video from a concert in Las Vegas in December of 2023 of him singing “Same Kind Of Crazy As Me,” which was written by Jinks and included on his 2019 album The Wanting.

He’s now gearing up to release his next studio album, aptly titled Change The Game, and if anyone has changed the game, proving that you can still have success as an independent country music recording artist, without an ounce of support from country radio or Nashville, it’s Cody Jinks.

A force in the independent country music scene, he’s released the title track, a song called “Outlaws and Mustangs” and “Sober Thing” from the new record thus far, and it already promises to be one of the best projects in the genre in 2024.

Change The Game is due out everywhere next month on March 22nd, and was produced by Ryan Hewitt (Red Hot Chili Peppers, ZZ Top) and Jinks’ longtime bassist, Joshua Thompson.

Jinks says it’s the “most honest” record he’s ever created:

“This is the most open and honest record I’ve ever recorded, I laid everything out.”

And while this old fan-favorite obviously won’t be included, it’s as timeless and ever and still a thrill to hear at a live show.
