So how are those New Year’s Resolutions going?

If you’re anything like me, about half are going pretty well and the other half, uhm, let’s just say they can use some work…

Looking ahead at a whole year of doing new good habits or kicking old bad ones can seem daunting, but fortunately, there’s something we can all look forward too each morning that will give us a kickstart to take on the world:

A hot cup of coffee.

But not just any coffee. No, we need one fit for a cowboy and that’s where Free Rein Coffee Company comes in.

If that name sounds familiar, it may be because we covered it before.

None other than Yellowstone star Cole Hauser (AKA Rip Wheeler) partnered with three of his friends to open a coffee company founded on the cowboy principles of hard work, early rising, and a dreamer’s mindset.

The roasts each have names as strong as their flavor, such as American Dirt, Heavy Spur, and Homestead, each one crafted so coffee drinkers of all varieties have one to call their own (and yes, that includes a Pumpkin Spice flavor).

Today the company is celebrating National Get Up Day and Cole Hauser shared how he like to spend his mornings.

“Whether on set or not, I am always an early riser. I always kick off my days with a cup of American Dirt and a walk with my dog, Mud. Cynthia makes me my first cup — a pour over of American Dirt. That’ll really get you going. When not on set, I like to spend as much time as I can with my wife and kids. Think backyard BBQing and high school football games. I’m a very proud dad.”

But for as much as Free Rein is about getting your day started with a strong cup of joe, they’re equally as committed to honoring those who serves us everyday, including veterans and first responders.

“Giving back, especially to those who serve our country and communities, is so important to my family and I. It’s a big reason why we started Free Rein. There are many great organizations that I also support — like Tunnels to Towers and the Wounded Warrior Foundation — who support veterans. This is important work … it’s truly the least we can do for those who selflessly gave their lives for our country.”

Supporting these causes is as easy as getting yourself (or your friends) a great bag of coffee and letting it fuel you every morning.

In honor of National Get Up Day, Free Rein is offering a free bag of coffee to anyone who spends $50 or more on their site. You can browse their selection here, which includes ground coffee, pods, merch, and a subscription option so you never run out.

As a coffee nut myself, I may just have to grab a few bags. The Texas Pecan and Heavy Spur are calling my name…
