John Daly Says Donald Trump Told Him He Would Become President Back In The Early ’90s: “Mark My Words”

The Tucker Carlson Encounter

When you think of professional golfers, you probably think of a bunch of uptight guys who are sticklers for the rules.

However, there’s one professional golfer who has never fit that mold, and it’s no other than John Daly.

I mean c’mon, we’re talking about the guy who rips Marlboros in the middle of tournaments, and used to drink 35-40 beers in a day and THEN start the liquor. Not to mention, the guy camps out at the Hooters in Augusta, Georgia during Masters week and gets absolutely ripped every year, and he even has a country music album featuring Willie Nelson.

John Daly has always been John Daly, whether you love him or hate him, and he’s never been afraid to voice his opinion.

Daly recently sat down for an interview with Tucker Carlson, where he discussed everything from pro golf, to politics, and how he grew up.

But, one of the most intriguing parts of the interview was when he recalled the time back in the ’90s when he was hanging out with Donald Trump, and he promised he would become President of the United States one day.

Daly told Carlson:

“I can’t remember the tournament, he flew his helicopter in and we played a pro-am, and we went out back and we talked a little bit.

He stood up and said, ‘mark my words, I’ll be President of the United States one day.’ This was back in ’92, ’93, ’94.”

Fast forward 20 years later, and Trump’s promise became true.
