Wanna set the mood this holiday season? Apparently all you need to do is turn on…Mariah Carey’s “All I Want For Christmas Is You?”
I know, most of us do our best to AVOID hearing that damn song this time of year. Of course it’s inescapable: In malls, on the radio, on commercials…the song is everywhere.
And apparently it’s in the bedroom too.
A new study from sexual wellness site BedBible looked at which Christmas songs were featured most often on “sexy Christmas” playlists – and found that once again, Mariah Carey’s tune is inescapable.
“All I Want For Christmas Is You” is apparently the most popular Christmas song that people are having sex to this time of year, although if I were ready to get it on and that song started playing I think it would probably kill the mood.
There were a few other headscratchers on the list too: Apparently people are also getting busy to Justin Bieber’s “Mistletoe,” which came in at #5 on the list, and “Last Christmas” by Wham, which was #3.
Surely people aren’t listening to these songs during sexy time, right?
The rest of the list makes a little more sense. There’s Michael Bublé’s “It’s Beginning To Look A Lot Like Christmas” at #4, as well as “It’s The Most Wonderful Time Of The Year” by Andy Williams at #6, which seems perfect for those sex-deprived couples who finally get around to sealing the deal this time of year.
And of course Frank Sinatra is on the list, rounding out the top 10 with his version of “Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas.”
But Brenda Lee’s “Rockin’ Around The Christmas Tree” at #8? I guess people don’t realize that she was only 13 when she recorded that one…
Anyway, if you’re looking for something to set the mood this holiday season, apparently this is what’s getting people fired up this time of year.
