It’s no secret that season two of House of the Dragon has been one of the most highly anticipated shows all year.
Of course, we’re talking about a prequel series to one of the most popular TV shows in the world, Game of Thrones, so you can only imagine the anticipation that’s surrounding this upcoming season that’s slated to drop next summer. Most of the time, a spinoff just doesn’t have the fire (no pun intended) of the original series, but this one has been quite incredible. It stands on its own, with just enough of a connection to Game Of Thrones to feel like a prequel.
With that being said, we officially have the first trailer for House of the Dragon, and boy…
This season looks INTENSE.
The trailer is filled with scenes of intense combat, and even two dragons going at it on a beach. You can also hear Rhaenys Targaryen say in the clip:
“There is no war so hateful to the gods as a war between kin, and no war so bloody as a war between dragons.”
House of the Dragon is based off George R.R. Martin’s Fire & Blood novel, and season two will feature eight episodes.
The second season of the show will star Matt Smith, Olivia Cooke, Emma D’Arcy, Eve Best, Steve Toussaint, Fabien Frankel, Ewan Mitchell, Tom Glynn-Carney, Sonoya Mizuno and Rhys Ifans. Additional returning Season 1 cast members include Harry Collett, Bethany Antonia, Phoebe Campbell, Phia Saban, Jefferson Hall and Matthew Needham.
