A surprise appearance from Chief.

Eric Church showed up at the CMA Awards to perform his duet with Morgan Wallen “Man Made A Bar,” which was included on Morgan’s recent One Thing At A Time record.

He wasn’t initially announced in the lineup, so it was certainly a welcome surprise to fans to see him take the stage.

“Man Made A Bar” was written by Larry Fleet, Rocky Block, Jordan Dozzi and Brett Tyler, as they detail how God made the whole world in just seven short days, but when he made man, they got lonely and needed a woman…

Though, he never left anywhere for them to go when they broke each other’s hearts, and alas, “man made a bar.”

It was easily one of my favorites from the record, and I hope that Morgan will eventually send it to country radio as a single (where it will inevitably go #1).

Oh, and also…

Anywho, they sounded pretty damn good together, and you can check out the performance below… though I’m still intrigued to see what Morgan and Hardy cook up with Post Malone:
