Travis speaks.

In case you live under a rock and didn’t hear the news, Taylor Swift was at the Kansas City Chiefs game on Sunday.

She attended the game after receiving an invite from Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, and sat next to Kelce’s mom in their family suite.

And of course, it immediately became a mega viral story, and the buzz around the NFL and on social media was that maybe there was something to the rumors that the two are at least talking and getting to know each other.

Travis had previously made public comments about seeing Taylor perform at Arrowhead Stadium at a stop on her Era’s Tour, and mentioned that he’d made a bracelet he wanted to deliver in-person.

Unfortunately for him, she doesn’t talk before or after her concerts to conserve her voice, so they never had a chance to meet.

Anywho, with Taylor in attendance, Kelce put on a great show for his new lady, as he scored a touchdown in the Kansas City Chiefs’ 41-10 victory over the Chicago Bears (thanks to some help from QB Patrick Mahomes), and led the team with seven catches for 69 yards.

And today, Travis addressed everything on his New Heights podcast, which he co-hosts with the Philadelphia Eagles center and brother Jason Kelce, saying he knows he brought all of this attention on himself and he had to shoot his shot, so to speak:

“You know, I brought all this attention to me. I did the whole friendship bracelet thing and told everyone how butt-hurt I was that I couldn’t meet her…

You miss 100% of the shots you don’t take.”

Touché…

He went on to say Taylor was “ballsy” for agreeing to attend the game, obviously knowing the kind of media attention it would receive, adding that he loved seeing her interact with his mom and have fun with his family and friends in their suite:

“Shoutout to Taylor for pulling up – that was pretty ballsy! I just thought it was awesome how everybody in the suite had nothing but great things to say about her, the friends and family.

She looked amazing. Everyone was talking about her in a great light. To see the slow motion chest bumps, to see the high-fives with mom, to see how Chiefs kingdom was all excited that she was there.

That sh*t was hysterical, it was definitely a game I will remember… Then we just slid off in the getaway car at the end. Shoutout for Taylor for coming through!”

Travis also addressed the fact that he’s not going to give much more in the way of details in terms of their relationship going forward, mostly out of respect for Taylor and the fact that she tends to keep her personal life very private…

Though if I had to guess, I wouldn’t be shocked if Mr. Travis also signed an NDA or something of the sort this weekend, too:

“What’s real is that it is my personal life and I want to respect both of our lives.

She’s not into media like I am doing this show every single week and having fun during the NFL season on other guys’ shows and any other show I go on from here on out.

I am enjoying life, and I sure as hell enjoyed this weekend, so everything moving forward, me talking about sports and saying ‘alright nah’ will have to be kinda where I keep it.”

And regardless of whether or not this works out in the long run, Kelce’s already seeing some of the “Swift effect” from her going to the one game, as his jersey sales are up 400% after this weekend.

Pretty crazy…

You can watch the full episode below, and a warning to all the Swiftie’s who are now apparently NFL or Chiefs fans, the podcast is mostly about football, so you might learn yourself somethin’ new while you’re at it:
