Gotta help gas up your boy when he’s trying to impress his new girl.
For the past week or so, the talk of the NFL hasn’t been on football, but on whether Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce is dating Taylor Swift.
The rumor mill started churning when Travis revealed that he was a big Swiftie but didn’t get to meet her during her show at Arrowhead Stadium. Not long after, it was alleged that they were “hanging out,” then Travis’ brother Jason said that it was “100% true,” although he played it coy and said he was joking right after.
Then during an appearance on The Pat McAfee Show, Kelce fanned the flames even more when he revealed that he had invited Taylor to a game:
Well apparently where there’s smoke there’s fire, because last night Kelce and Swift absolutely set the internet ablaze when Taylor showed up at the Chiefs game at Arrowhead Stadium, sitting in the box with Kelce’s parents and cheering on the star tight end.
The Chiefs proceeded to have an absolute field day with the Chicago Bears, rolling to an easy 41-10 win that included 3 touchdown passes from quarterback Patrick Mahomes – including one to Swift’s boy Travis Kelce.
Of course when Kelce scored his touchdown the cameras immediately cut to Taylor Swift, who was going wild in the box with Kelce’s family:
And after the game, Mahomes admitted that he wanted to get Kelce the ball to make him look good in front of Swift:
“I heard she was in the house. I felt a little bit of pressure, I knew I had to get it to Trav.”
What a wingman, helping your boy score a TD to impress his girl.
Taylor must have liked what she saw, because after the game the two were spotted leaving Arrowhead together in Kelce’s convertible.
Better treat her right, Travis. Don’t want the next album to be about you. But the good thing is you’ve got friends like Mahomes looking out for you.
