NASCAR Driver Bubba Wallace Gets Roasted For Calling Himself The “Best Restarter In The Game”

NASCAR driver Bubba Wallace is in the midst of the best season of his career.

But it hasn’t been easy…

The 23XI driver has suffered from pit crew issues, and self inflicted wounds like wrecking on the 11th lap at the Circuit of the Americas, and on top of that, he suffered a flat tire and hit the wall which killed his chances of winning at the Hollywood Casino 400 a couple of weeks back.

But, he’s advanced to the Round of 12 in the playoffs this season, the deepest run of his Cup Series career, and he even finished 3rd yesterday in the Autotrader EchoPark Automotive 400 at Texas Motor Speedway.

Although, Wallace won the pole leading into the race yesterday, and he had a shot to win, he took third and currently sits at 9th in the standings, one spot outside the cut line.

After the race, Wallace said:

“I just hate it. I should’ve just kept my line into three, and forced William to get tight, but you’re so vulnerable in these cars right? But just upset with myself.

I really needed a win there, and it was a good showing. I don’t know where that puts us, don’t really care. You know, I know what I did and I choked. I’ve just got to process things a little slower.

I feel like I made massive improvements in that, processing things a little bit better. But when it comes down to crunch time, you have to keep it all in check.

The best restarter in the game gives it up on a restart, so funny how that works.”

Another tough one for ol’ Bubba here.

Best restarter in the game? That’s a new one for me…

Seems like he might be referring to this graphic for that title, but net restart positions doesn’t really matter all that much unless you’re in the front of the pack at the end of the race, right? Well, yesterday he was, and he finished 3rd…

Needless to say, nobody else heard that one before either:
