When you are the head coach of place nicknamed “motor city,” you’ve got to make sure that you fuel yourself every single day to get the job done.

Dan Campbell is certainly doing his job in Detroit, bringing a “laughing stock” franchise back into relevance in the matter of just a couple of years.

Campbell, who is nicknamed both “Man Campbell” and “MCDC (Motor City Dan Campbell),” turned some heads last night when he led his Lions to an upset over the defending Super Bowl champion Kansas City Chiefs.

“MCDC” and the Lions went into Arrowhead and beat Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs (who couldn’t catch a pass to save their lives) 21 to 20, and ended an 18-game undefeated streak for Mahomes in opening games of the season.

Doing so has definitely put the Detroit team on radar within the NFL, and has also shined a spotlight on Dan Campbell, who was formerly known as the head coach who said he would teach his team to “bite their opponents kneecaps.”

He’s also known for the absurd amount of coffee that he drinks every single day, which simply can’t be good for your physical health. Campbell’s go-to coffee order went viral when he told the media just how much caffeine he was consuming every single day:

“Reminder that Detroit Lions head coach Dan Campbell has the most absurd coffee order of all time. Two venti coffees from Starbucks with two espresso shots in each is more than 1,100 mg of caffeine.

That’s the equivalent of drinking 10 Red Bulls…every morning.”

Holy smokes…

But, if you’ve seen Dan Campbell as he’s coaching, or hyping up his team in the locker room, or just being a “normal human being,” the whole thing kind of makes sense.

And the fans definitely agree:

You know what? Me too.

I’m not even a Lions fan and I would run through a brick wall for Dan Campbell…
