There’s nothing quite like the great outdoors…and that can be a good thing and a bad thing.
Camping is one of the best ways to get out into nature, but it does come with its fair share of disadvantages. “Roughing it” in a tent isn’t always what it’s hyped up to be, and can often leave you at the mercy of the elements.
What are the “elements” of nature, you might ask? Well, it’s usually an all-encompassing terms that can refer to the different types of weather, the various types of terrain you might be up against, and the animals and insects that you usually have to battle while you are outside.
The good news is that you can pretty much prepare for every aspect of the elements. Looking at the weather will let you know what to expect and what to wear, mapping out your camping location gives insight into what to bring along, and the invention of bug spray and other bug repellants can usually keep the insects at bay.
There’s really only thing thing that is always going to be “up in the air” when you venture into the outdoors, and that is the animals that call the wilderness home. You can prepare all you want, but you can’t control whether or not an animal shows up at your campsite.
The National Parks Service advices campers and hikers to always keep their food and garbage put away securely, so that’s one way to decrease your chances of a run in with a wild animal. However, this person probably didn’t have much hope in avoiding this horse, who seemed to be pretty intrigued by the tent and what/who was inside.
According to the person who posted this video, they awoke in the middle of nature in their tent, and as they opened their eyes to the light of the new day, they looked right into the eyes of a horse staring right back. The caption on the video states:
“I was camping and woke up to this horse watching me sleep.”
Is it a wild horse? A tamed horse that got away? Was it their own horse that was looking in at them? Who knows!
All we do know is that this horse could easily win a staring contest if it really wanted to…
