It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to know that Yellowstone, along with its prequel series 1883 and 1923 have been the most popular TV shows on the planet.

We’ve seen each show break record after record, proving that TV watchers aren’t getting tired of the series anytime soon.

And if we needed anymore proof of that, here it is…

Considering this writers strike is continuing to rage on with no end in sight, and production has been delayed for tons of shows including Yellowstone, people are having to resort to reruns to fill the void, as we aren’t getting any new content out right now.

So, 1883 has been running its shows from its lone season on TV (it originally aired exclusively on Paramount+, the network’s streaming service), and needless to say, people are still tuning in like crazy.

According to Forbes, the 90-minute finale of the show was viewed by a whopping 2.4 million people on Sunday, making it the 10th most watched cable show last week.

And if you needed a reference for how impressive this is, it topped both pre-season football games that aired on the NFL Network on Sunday afternoon, and as it typically does, news and opinion shows such as The Rachel Maddow Show on MSNBC, Fox News’ The Five and Jesse Watters Primetime filled the rest of the top 10.

Other shows such as America’s Got Talent on NBC, CBS’ 60 Minutes, and Family Feud on ABC also filled the top 10.

Although it didn’t crack the top five, its still pretty impressive that 1883 beat out America’s favorite sport on Sunday… with a re-run.
