What a cool way to celebrate the hometown show.
Zach Bryan made a stop at his home state venue at Tulsa, Oklahoma’s BOK Center over the weekend, and he invited a class of 6th graders from his hometown school district to the show and gave them the VIP treatment.
The Oologah-Talala Public School district shared several photos from the evening on their Facebook page, saying that the kids were “treated like royalty” and had box seats with a great view, in addition to getting to meet Zach before the show, which I have to imagine was probably the coolest part for them.
According to the post, Zach’s dad Dewayne helped coordinate getting them all there, and Zach’s current drummer Steve Clark is also a former teacher in the district.
Zach’s hometown is Oologah, Oklahoma, which is about 30 minutes from Tulsa.

“A group of incoming 6th grade students had the experience of a lifetime last night! Oologah’s own Zach Bryan gifted Mrs. Swant’s entire homeroom class with tickets for his concert at the BOK!
They were treated like royalty with amazing box seats, snacks, and drinks. And to top it all off, they had private meet-and-greets with Zach and former OUE teacher and band drummer Steve Clark!
We are so thankful to Zach’s dad, Dewayne, for working so hard to make this night unforgettable for our students. Also, a huge thank you to Mrs. Swant, Mrs. Shockey, Mrs. Paquette and SRO Tice for taking such great care of the kids!”
My favorite picture is on slide seven, where one of the teachers, Mrs. Shockey, commented that:
“Zach gave him the hat off of his own head! It was seriously the best!”
How cool is that?
A night the kids, and teachers, will never forget, I’m sure:
Zach is gearing up to put out a new record next Friday, and is currently on the road for his Burn, Burn, Burn tour.
Zach Bryan Announces Self-Titled Album Dropping August 25th
August 25th, people… mark your calendars.
Zach Bryan shared what appears to be the album cover for his next project over on Instagram, which according to the caption, will be officially out everywhere here in a few weeks on August 25th.
And it also appears as though this album will be self-titled, with the photo below on his feed featuring a simple profile portrait of Zach smoking a cigarette with his name in the top right corner:
He also teased that a collaboration with one of his all-time favorite bands, The Lumineers, will be featured, and this new record is fully self-produced, a first for the Oklahoma native.
Zach previously said the tracklist features 11 songs in total, just a fraction of his behemoth of a major label debut in 2022’s American Heartbreak, and I can’t wait to hear every single one of ’em.
