This is one of the coolest stories I’ve seen in a while.
I’ve often wondered what professional athletes do during the offseason.
From going on vacation, and winding down while not thinking about the sport that they devote most of the year to, to going back to training in preparation for the offseason.
But for the Oilers’ Evander Kane?
He’s still grinding…
And by grinding, I mean getting back on the ice and playing in his local hockey men’s league.
Who could blame the guy?
The 2023 season ended with a bitter taste for the Oilers, after getting knocked out of the playoffs in the second round by the eventual Stanley Cup champions the Las Vegas Golden Knights.
However, he’s trying to keep his identity as lowkey as possible…
As Kane has been going by “Fa Afo,” which stands for “F*ck around and find out.”
If you don’t know why he chose that name, it’s because of the beef between Kane and Golden Knights forward Keegan Kolesar, when Kane sent out this one strong message to Kolesar:
“You don’t see a lot of guys getting jumped from behind and head locked and then, you know, when ya wanna f*ck around sometimes you’re gonna find out.”
I’d hate to be some of those scrubs playing men’s league, because it still sounds like Kane, or “Fa Afo,” if you will, is out for blood.
