Paige Spiranac has become the face of golf influencers over the past couple of years, drawing a massive following based off her good looks, golf skills, and witty personality.
The 30-year-old has always tended to be pretty straight forward on social media, and has never been afraid to speak her mind.
However, this tweet was 100% not her…
And by tweet, I’m talking about this:
“I’ll do a boob reveal when Rickie Fowler wins a Major”
That’s a VERY bold statement.
Although Spiranac tends to post some revealing stuff to social media, she’s never posted any kind of complete nudity before, and has promised to never do so.
So, after Rickie Fowler found himself a top the leaderboard at the U.S. Open yesterday after shooting a tournament record eight under par 62 at Los Angeles Country Club, heads were beginning to turn towards ol’ Paige.
However, Spiranac made it very clear that this was a meme account that said this, and it wasn’t actually her:
“A meme account posted a fake tweet awhile ago and now people are blowing up my DMs! This is not true so don’t get your hopes up.
But I did pick Rickie as a long shot so at least I have that going for me lol”
Man, I true let down if I’ve ever seen one.
Although Fowler broke the opening round tournament record for a U.S. Open, he wasn’t the only one, as Xander Schauffle carded the same score only 20 minutes later.
I guess we’ll see if Rickie comes through and wins his first major, and Spiranac secures the bet.
