Austin City Limits is gearing up to kick off their summer tapings with a great lineup.

They just announced that Season 49 will feature performances by Jason Isbell and the 400 Unit on June 14th, country icon Tanya Tucker will return after almost four decades on July 10th, and Jorge Drexler, who swept the 2022 Latin Grammy Awards with a record seven awards, will perform on July 31st.

Isbell is gearing up to release a new album called Weathervanes, which will be out everywhere on June 9th, right before they headline their ACL show.

Tucker is also about to release an album called Sweet Western Sound, which was co-produced by Brandi Carlile and Shooter Jennings, and is slated to drop next month on June 2nd.

ACL is the longest-running music television show in history, which started its first episode with Willie Nelson back in 1974.

The broadcast episodes of these performances will air on PBS this fall as part of the upcoming Season 49, with many more guests still to be announced, so stay tuned there.

And speaking of Tanya performing on the iconic show almost four decades ago, check out her feature on this awesome vintage, mid-1980’s episode below:
