Talk about a throwback…

RC Edwards, best known as bassist for the Turnpike Troubadours, shared a really cool picture of them way back in the day, with frontman Evan Felker rocking a full head of curly hair.

He shared the photo with the perfect caption:

“Lil Baby Troubadours.”

And it looks like it was timestamped as being taken on August 27th, 2007 at the Red Barn Saloon in Durant, Oklahoma:

Back in 2007, when the picture was taken, Turnpike released their debut album Bossier City, and have gone on to put out four others in Diamonds & Gasoline, Goodbye Normal Street, The Turnpike Troubadours and most recently A Long Way from Your Heart in 2017.

They quickly became a signature staple in the Red Dirt scene, and after they took a couple years off, mostly so Evan could get the help that he needed for his struggle with alcohol, they’re back and better than ever with quite a few dates and arena shows filling up the calendar this year.

And Evan Felker confirmed last year that a new album is in the works, and the boys debuted a new song called “Cat in the Rain”  too, so stay tuned for more there hopefully sooner rather than later…
