It’s been over a year since Turnpike Troubadours announced that they were getting back together, after their hiatus in 2019.

And not gonna lie, it still feels surreal, knowing that they spent all of 2022 touring packed out venues, and were even in the studio recording new music, just like it’s the good ol’ days all over again.

If you didn’t have a chance to see them live and in person anytime last year, you have to put it on your to do list this year, as they’re one of the best live shows around.

With that being said, the band just announced a new show via Instagram, slated for May 5th at the Capital One Arena in Washington D.C., the host arena for D.C.’s hockey team, the Washington Capitals, NBA team the Washington Wizards, as well as the home court for the Georgetown Hoyas.

With its ability to hold over 20,000 fans, I have no doubt that Turnpike is going to sell it out.

They’re also bringing a ton of talent along with them, as they announced that Old Crow Medicine Show and Lucero will be opening for them.

The band shared in an Instagram post:

“Heading over to our nation’s capital on May 5th. Springtime in Washington, D.C. at the Capital One Arena with support from our friends Old Crow Medicine Show and Lucero.”

Presale tickets drop this Wednesday, March 8th at 10 AM ET. Public on-sale goes on this Friday, March 10th at 10 AM ET.
