Incase you’ve been living under a rock, Argentina took home the World Cup trophy after an electric game against France in the finals, that ultimately ended in penalty kicks.
It was one helluva way for Lionel Messi to finally win his long overdue World Cup, and put a bow on what might be the greatest soccer career ever. He’s rumored to be heading to the MLS next season, where legends go to essentially “retire,” but still stay in the game.
As you can imagine, Argentinians were losing their minds once they realized that the cup was coming home to them.
With that being said, there was one Argentinian fan who may have gone just a little over the top for her celebration…
After the game was decided in PKs, millions of viewers across the planet witnessed a woman in the stands going absolutely bonkers with her shirt completely off.
Although she was hidden by a banner for a brief moment, the camera got the perfect view of the madness.
Of course, nobody was really upset about the woman’s move to celebrate topless, but the thing is, Qatar is one of the most strict countries on the planet, and are known to enforce their laws with an iron fist.
The rules are more lax for tourists, but publicly nudity is definitely a crime.
The Qatar Tourism Authority warned fans:
“Visitors (men as well as women) are expected to show respect for local culture by avoiding excessively revealing clothing in public.
It is generally recommended for men and women to ensure their shoulders and knees are covered.”
Yeah… shoulders definitely were NOT covered here.
According to Daily Mail, the woman was allegedly escorted out of the stadium, but there is no confirmation that the woman has been identified by Qatari authorities. If she’s lucky, she’s already hightailed it out of the country.
The truth is, she could very well be looking at jail time for the stunt.
Some on social media have been saying that the woman simply had body paint over her body shaped like the Argentina flag, but even that would probably be too revealing for Qatar.
