Luke Combs Releases Beautiful Acoustic Version Of Current Single, “Going, Going, Gone”

Luke Combs country music

Luke Combs can SING.

Not that it’s news to anyone, but his voice sounds absolutely incredible on the new acoustic version of “Going, Going, Gone.”

His current single at country radio comes from his recent his third studio album Growin’ Up, as he sings about a former significant other, who no matter what he does, there’s simply no holding her down.

Throughout the lyrics, he compares the girl to everything that goes away in the blink of an eye, from a southbound train, to Arizona desert rain, to lightning in the sky, fireworks in July, home run balls, and more.

Written by Luke along with Ray Fulcher and James McNair, it’s easily one of my favorites off the tracklist, but of course, I love this acoustic version even more than the original.

For me, the simple, stripped-back production lends itself so well to the sad, melancholy nature of the song, and I’m gonna have this version on repeat for the foreseeable future…

He previously released a live acoustic performance of video from an empty stadium that is pretty dang good, too:
