It sounds like another #1 is in Luke Combs’ future.

He just announced that “Going, Going Gone,” from his third studio album Growin’ Up, will be his next single at country radio:

“Excited to let y’all know ‘Going, Going, Gone’ will be my next single on country radio!”

In the song, Luke sings about a former significant other, who no matter what he does, there’s simply no holding her down.

Throughout the lyrics, he compares the girl to everything that goes away in the blink of an eye, from a southbound train, to Arizona desert rain, to lightning in the sky, fireworks in July, home run balls, and more.

Written by Luke along with Ray Fulcher and James McNair, it’s the third single from the new record so far, with “Doin’ This,” and “The Kind of Love We Make” both reaching the top spot on the country charts earlier this year.

I’d venture to say this one will follow suit and find it’s way to the top spot soon enough.

I mean, what a song:
