Kid Rock Looks Like A Kid In A Candy Store Watching Tyler Childers Jam Out At His Saloon

I love random finds on YouTube. It’s the rabbit hole that keeps on giving.

In this video from 2018, Tyler Childers, with his former long hair and beard combo, jams out at Kid Rock’s Saloon (presumably at his bonkers Nashville mansion, more on that later) with a bunch of Appalachian musicians.

Quietly, Kid Rock positioned himself in the background, listening, smiling and filming like a kid in a candy store.

Joined by Luna, from Luna and The Mountain Jets, Laid Back Country Picker, as well as bass player Craig Burletic, and fiddle player Jesse Wells, the group played a song written by Luna, “That Thing You Said,” from her 2006 album Luna.

Those harmonies and that fiddle are a thing of beauty (and those are some lucky folks that had the chance to witness this impromptu performance).

We’ve known Kid Rock was a Childers fans since him and John Daly jammed out to “Whitehouse Road,” but it’s pretty cool to see him captivated by the generational talent that is Tyler.

“Luna of LMJ, Laid Back Country Picker, Craig Burletic, Jesse Wells and Tyler Childers at Kid Rock’s Saloon! Performing ‘That Thing You Said.’ Yes, that is Kid Rock running around filming.”

Joe Rogan details Kid Rock’s insane Nashville mansion

“It’s the most wild, rockstar, hillbilly type sh*t… it’s when you give a real redneck f*ckin’ insane amounts of money, they build something like this.”
