Muscadine Bloodline’s Gary Stanton Is Lowkey The King Of Sharing Unreleased Bangers On Instagram

Gary Stanton country music

Many of you are probably familiar with the Mobile, Alabama duo Muscadine Bloodline. If not, you’re missing out.

The duo, composed of Gary Stanton and Charlie Muncaster, released their first single in 2016, and the rest has been history. Since then, they have been one of the best country music acts in the country, and are doing their part in saving southern country music. This much is evident in their most recent release.

Their sophomore album, Dispatch to 16th Ave., is pure honky-tonkin’ country music, with a couple of rock and roll boot stompers as well as some stripped down, lyric-heavy balladry.

If their current catalog of two albums, seven EPs, and quite a few singles isn’t already enough, though, look no further than Gary Stanton’s Instagram.

Stanton frequently takes to Instagram to show fans songs he has been working on. Hopefully some of them make it on a Muscadine Bloodline record at some point, because he’s posted some great stuff.

Here are a few of my favorites he’s posted this year.

“Tickets to a Turnpike Show”

This one is especially cool considering Muscadine Bloodline landed a huge spot opening for Turnpike at a couple of shows later in August. On August 19 they’ll be with Turnpike and the Old 97’s in St. Louis.

As incredible as that lineup is, their show the next night in Bonner Springs, KS Opening for Turnpike along with Gov’t Mule and Morgan Wade may be one of the best concert lineups this whole summer.

“Earl Byrd from Mexia”

“Kennel Up Lucy”

“Count Off the Band”

Channeling his inner Roger Miller, one of the all time greats.

If you like what you heard, go give Gary Stanton a follow on Instagram for more.

And be on the lookout for more Muscadine Bloodline music at some point, maybe some of these will make a record one day.

In the meantime, though, go listen to their most recent album Dispatch to 16th Ave., it’s one of the best albums of the year so far.
