Morgan Wade To Be A Part Of The Eagles 50th Anniversary Show In London

Fresh off her Grand Ole Opry debut, Morgan Wade is headed to open for The Eagles.

She’s trekking across the pond to London to help open the show at BST Hyde Park on Sunday, June 26th, along with Robert Plant + Alison Krauss, Little Big Town, Cam, The Wandering Hearts, Patrick Droney and more to be announced.

The massive show is a part of the band’s 50th anniversary tour overseas, which also includes shows at Anfield Stadium in Liverpool, BT Murrayfield Stadium in Edinburgh, and Aviva Stadium in Dublin.

Morgan shared the news on Instagram this morning, saying she’s stoked to join the impressive lineup:

“Stoked to be a part of the Eagles’ 50th anniversary celebration with Cam, Patrick Droney, and The Wandering Hearts with Robert Plant & Alison Krauss and Little Big Town.

See y’all in London on Sunday, June 26th for @bsthydepark presented by American Express. Tickets on sale now.”

We know Morgan can sing the hell outta some classic rock, with her vocals shining on previous covers we’ve shared of Elvis’ “Suspicious Minds” and Bruce Springsteen’s “I’m On Fire,” just to name a couple, so I’m hoping maybe we can get a little “Take It Easy” or “Lyin’ Eyes” next.

Sir Elton John, Pearl Jam, and Duran Duran are also set to play the outdoor event.

In addition, BST Hyde Park is also welcoming megastar Adele back home for the festival with shows in July, the week following The Eagles.

Not bad company for Morgan as she plays such a massive festival alongside some of the biggest names in music this summer.

And make sure you check out her cover of Elvis’ classic if you haven’t heard it yet:
