After all of the Twitter hate, and begging and gnashing of teeth from New Orleans Saints fans for Netflix to not drop this movie called Home Team… it’s too late.
It’s coming, and it looks even worse than we thought.
First off, why so much hate, you may ask?
Well, mainly because comedy actor Kevin James is playing the roll of Sean Payton, who kinda looks like the Saints’ head coach if you squint one eye, close the other, drink a gallon Jack Daniel’s and then get dropped on your head.
Also, Taylor Lautner stars in the movie as well, who really hasn’t been relevant since Twilight.
Not to mention, it just sounds cheesy as all get out. The plot revolves around the infamous BountyGate scandal where Payton is suspended from the NFL in 2012 so he decides to coach his son’s sixth grade football team.
Here’s the official synopsis:
“Two years after a Super Bowl win when NFL head coach Sean Payton is suspended, he goes back to his hometown and finds himself reconnecting with his 12 year old son by coaching his Pop Warner football team.”
Check out the God-awful trailer:

Needless to say, Twitter had already burst into flames when news about the movie first dropped, but after Netflix released the trailer today, announcing that the movie will hit the streaming service on January 28th, Twitter once again wasted no time roasting the ever-loving shit out it.
Y’all been taking my monthly fee money to turn around and produce something like this? I need a reduced rate

Was this part of the NFL’s punishment?

I also have movie ideas that are bad. Please give me 20 million dollars to see my dream come true (no, I won't TELL YOU what it is, because that doesn't seem to be an issue)

Imagining Sean Payton saying , “yes, Kevin James can play me”

11% rotten tomatoes on the horizon.
This one of the worst trailers I’ve ever seen.
Sean Payton should tell them to deny its release https://t.co/5PosnMUEB7

Someone had to physically write this without convulsing and collapsing on their keyboard and I’m not sure how that was possible https://t.co/Eo8NuLNnaK
