It’s always a great day when CoJo has new music out.
Following his duet of Willie Nelson’s “Sad Songs And Waltzes,” Cody Johnson is back with two more songs from his upcoming double album Human.
Cody announced the upcoming double album on our Whiskey Riff Raff podcast, and promised to release two songs each month, one from Side A and one from Side B, until October.
And today, we’re getting that first two-piece.
From Side A comes “Til You Can’t,” and encouraging new song about seizing the moment while you still have the opportunity. It’s the old “you don’t know what you have until it’s gone” expression, but rather than lamenting not taking the chance, this tune calls on listeners to act now.
Here’s a taste of the chorus:
“If you got a chance, take it,
take it while you got a chance.
If you got a dream, chase it,
’cause a dream won’t chase you back.
If you’re gonna love somebody,
hold ’em as long and as strong and as close as you can
‘Til you can’t.”
Titled Human: The Double Album, the 18-song collection is set to drop in October,
