When? We don’t really know for sure, but it’s coming this fall.
All signs originally pointed to June being the target month for the premiere of Season 4.After all, every season so far has premiered in June, and the Chief Joseph Ranch (the real life location of the Dutton Ranch) said that it would be in June.
However, fall it is… whatever, we’re almost there.
Anyways, to get to the real point of this blog… the music.
Don’t get me wrong… I love the show, love the scenery, love me some Kevin Costner, but it was the music that really hooked me.
The music of Whiskey Myers is featured prominently throughout the series (and the band made an appearance as a bar band), as well as Ryan Bingham (who stars in the show as a major character), but along with Tyler Childers, Sturgill Simpson, Colter Wall, Turnpike Troubadours and more, I honestly don’t think I could draw it up any better.
With Season 4 presumably around the corner, they’ll get a whole new opportunity to showcase even more great country music. Taylor Sheridan and music supervisor Andrea von Foerster do a phenomenal job (Taylor’s new movie Those Who Wish Me Deadalso featured artists like Whiskey Myers, Turnpike, Johnny Cash, and Chris Stapleton), but I got some ideas of my own.
And while I hope to hear some more Whiskey Myers, Turnpike and Ryan Bingham in Season 4, here’s nine new artists I hope I can add to our killer Yellowstone: The Soundtrack Playlist
In no particular order…
Mike & The Moonpies
