Scotty McCreery Dedicates “Five More Minutes” To Charley Pride At The Grand Ole Opry

This one is hittin’ a little bit different today…

Scotty McCreery took the iconic Opry stage this evening, and after kicking things off with a performance of his new single “You Time,” he took a moment to remember the late, great Charley Pride.

Performing the emotional, and deeply personal “Five More Minutes,” Scotty dedicated the performance to Charley:

“So many great artists have come here before me and one of those, who I’ve always been such a big fan of, we just lost today, Mr. Charley Pride. That guy, he was always such a joy to talk to backstage,  just the nicest guy. We’d talk baseball, music, everything…

Tonight we’re gonna play ‘Five More Minutes’ which I wrote for my granddaddy Bill, but tonight this is gonna go out to Mr. Charley Pride.”

The performance kicks off around the 4-minute mark.
