BOOM.
I don’t shit about rockets but I’m pretty sure that’s not supposed to happen…
According to CNN, Elon Musk’s SpaceX launched a prototype rocket this afternoon in Texas which climbed approximately 40,000 feet before attempting to land. However, during the landing, something went wrong and the entire rocket exploded into a blaze of fire.
Nobody was in the rocket, but either way, seems like Elon was happy with the test.
Fuel header tank pressure was low during landing burn, causing touchdown velocity to be high & RUD, but we got all the data we needed! Congrats SpaceX team hell yeah!!

Musk hopes that this technology will lead to super-fast air travel (i.e. United States to Australia in a matter of hours) and eventually bring humans to Mars.
Mars, here we come!!

Pretty damn cool, eh?
But… we’re not quite ready yet…
