Tito’s anybody?
The CMAs this past week were, for the most part, a giant snooze fest, however we did see Eric Church finally take home the Entertainer of the Year award, we saw Luke Combs and Jon Pardi going nuts when he did, and we saw a handful of good performances. We saw an Old Dominion tribute to Urban Cowboy for some reason that I’ll never understand, and not a word about John Prine, Jerry Jeff Walker or Billy Joe Shaver.
But we also saw this… Miranda Lambert topping off her drink with a pour from water bottle flask.
And I fucking LOVE IT.
Now, I’m not quite sure was the drink situation was like at the CMA Awards this year. Of course they usually have booze available and we did see some drink on the tables, but with COVID going on right now, they might’ve had a little different setup than normal. Either way, absolutely veteran move from Miranda bringing her own cooler full of booze and ice.
You just love to see it.
We did the whole CMA Awards red carpet thing one year… definitely brought our own flask.
Miranda ended up taking home the win for Video of the Year and she also performed a stripped-down version of her new single “Settlin’ Down.”
