Garth Brooks & Trisha Yearwood Announce New Single “Shallow” & The Comments Are All About Burying Bodies

Garth Brooks et al. in a movie

G and Mrs. Yearwood are back with a brand new single, their cover of Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper’s “Shallow” from the critically-acclaimed film A Star Is Born.

The song will be pushed to country radio as their next single, and also be featured on Garth’s upcoming album FUNthe same album that Garth made available for preorder more than two and a half years ago.

And while all of that is cool, slick, AND neat, but mostly raw… it’s the absolute circus going on in the comments section right now that is the best part of this entire announcement.

As you may or may not know (if you’re a loyal Whiskey Riffer, you know), there is widely held belief that Garth Brooks is a serial killer, perpetuated by fans of Tom Segura and his wife Christina Pazsitzky, two of the planet’s funniest stand up comics.

And now, for the past couple of years, hundreds of comments litter Garth’s social media (on every single post) asking one very simple question…. WHERE ARE THE BODIES G?

So now that they’re going to be releasing “Shallow” as their next single, I shouldn’t have to explain to why the comments section is downright hysterical right now. Here’s a taste:

“Shallow like the graves. THE FAMILIES NEED CLOSURE”

“Shallow graves? Is this a hint Garth? Just tell us where our families are!!!!”

“It’s real shallow of you to not give the families closure…..”

“Named for the depth of the graves.”

“Shallow, much like so many of the graves G.”

“Shallow graves. Following Proto!”

“Shallow graves? Tell us garth we need closure.”

And then one more that had me howling…

“Will this be available at the Falcon Car Wash?”

And the best part of all of this?

I’m still not even sure if Garth and his team understand what is going on because they don’t delete any of the comments. And how about that cover art?

Seriously G, the families need closure…

Oh yeah, and here’s of preview of the song…
