To say that it’s been a rough go for Arkansas lately would be an understatement.
They haven’t won a conference game since October of 2017 when they beat Ole Miss, so it should go without saying that fans have been waiting A LONG time for the Razorbacks to snap the streak.
And then the 2020 schedule came out with 7 out of their 10 games against ranked SEC powerhouse programs. Their only hope (most likely) for not passing Vanderbilt’s 23-game conference record losing streak was Mississippi State… who, with quarterback KJ Costello throwing for over 600 yards, put a whoopin’ on defending champs LSU in Week 1.
And then Saturday happened, the Razorbacks forced Costello to throw 3 picks (including a pick-6) on their way to a 21-14 upset victory over Mike Leach and the Mississippi State Bulldogs. The 20-game losing streak was SNAPPED.
Which begs the question… how were the fans celebrating this monumental moment?
Gotta love SEC football.
