It’s been a helluva week in the Johnson household.
According to a new Instagram post from The Rock himself, he and his entire family (his wife and 2 daughters) are recovering from COVID-19. And even for someone that’s in as good a shape as The Rock is in, it wasn’t no walk in the park.
“I can tell you that this has been one of the most challenging and difficult things we have ever had to endure as a family… And for me personally, too, as well, and I’ve gone through some doozies in the past.”
The 11-minute video details his experience with the virus, how his family has battled through the situation, how they contracted it, and his (very important) thoughts on keeping yourself healthy and boosting your immune system in a time when we should all be taking extra care of ourselves.
“We picked up COVID-19 off some very close friends. And these are people who we love and trust, these are people who we still love and trust and they are devastated that it led to them infecting our family.”
In addition to the video, he added a no-nonsense checklist of ways we all commit to staying healthy right now:
“My message to all of you around the world: Stay disciplined. Boost your immune system. Commit to wellness. Wear your mask. Protect your family. Be strict about having people over your house or gatherings. Stay positive. And care for your fellow human beings. Stay healthy, my friends.”
Doesn’t get more straightforward than that.
