John Prine’s Family Releases Final Song “I Remember Everything”

If you didn’t tune into John Prine’s tribute concert last night (you can watch it HERE) I’d highly recommend you find some time to do that this weekend.

In addition to old video clips, messages from friends and family, and of course, some great cover performances, John’s family released one final song that John wrote and recorded before his death this past April.

Titled “I Remember Everything,” the final song was produced by the great Dave Cobb and co-written by John’s longtime writing partner Pat McLaughlin.

I remember everything
Things I can’t forget
Swimming pools of butterflies
That slipped right through the net
And I remember every night
Your ocean eyes of blue
How I miss you in the morning light
Like roses miss the dew

RIP John… you’re dearly missed.

Here’s the studio version.
