The John Prine tribute was nothing short of amazing.
Jason Isbell and Amanda Shires, Kacey Musgraves, Sturgill Simpson and, as Woody Harrelson referred to him in Zombieland, Bill fucking Murray man.
And while the night was filled with heartwarming and emotional footage of John (including what looked like him shoveling snow with a broom off a car here in Chicago), personal stories and amazing performances, Eric Church was one of the highlights of the night for me.
From the Country Music Hall Of Fame, and featuring a stellar introduction from museum senior director Peter Cooper, Eric performed an impeccable rendition of John’s “She Is My Everything.”
