Gettin’ physical playing music at the drive-in? I like that…

Announced today, Garth will be performing a one-night-only concert event on June 27th, a performance that will be simultaneously broadcast to 300 different drive-in theaters across North America.

“I am so excited to get to play again. I have missed it so much and want to get back to it,” said Brooks. “This drive-in concert allows us all to get back to playing live music without the uncertainty of what would be the result to us as a community. This is old school, new school, and perfect for the time we are in.”

Garth made the announcement this morning on Good Morning America.

“You get to have fun and stay within the guidelines of social distancing, but we’re calling it social distancing-partying… this should be fun.”

Social distancing partying… I like that.

Tickets will be on sale Friday, June 19th at noon as will the list of drive-in theaters. Tickets will run you $100 bucks per vehicle and they’re expecting to offer about 250-300 tickets per venue.
