Meet Genesee County Sheriff Chris Swanson.
Chris is currently all over social media feeds after a speech he gave prior to a protest in Flint, MI became national news for all the right reasons.
In the video taken Saturday night, Swanson explains that he wants to “make this a parade, not a protest” as the crowd erupts.
“I took my helmet off, laid the batons down.”
“These cops love you. You tell us what you need to do,” he adds before leading the march and protest down the street in honor of George Floyd.
