Girl Rewrites Morgan Wallen’s “This Bar” From A Bartender’s View During COVID-19

If you’re familiar with Elle Mears, you know she has a knack for taking hit songs and rewriting them with a twist, usually from the perspective of another character in the story.

We’ve shared her performances of Thomas Rhett’s “Marry Me,” Lee Brice’s “Boy” and Cole Swindell’s “Break Up In The End,” all of which were creatively rewritten from the girl’s perspective in the song. Most recently, she put a fun twist on Luke Combs‘ “When It Rains It Pours,” telling the story from the angry girlfriend’s point of view.

And today, she’s back with a brand new rewrite, and in light of the recent Coronavirus pandemic, I think you’re gonna like this one. I know all the bartenders out there will.

“These are strange and unprecedented times, so to bring a little heart and hope into the madness, Elle decided to rewrite something close to home. Elle brings you a cover / rewrite of “This Bar” by Morgan Wallen, except this time, it’s from the bartenders perspective.”

Elle was a bartender at Rippy’s on Broadway in Nashville before it was closed down due to COVID-19. And along with her family of displaced bartenders, she’s encouraging fans to donate to the Sam Adams Restaurant Strong Fund in an effort to help support those who have been affected and who might relate a little more strongly to this cover.
