It’s still hard to wrap your mind around the fact that country music lost a legend on Friday night.
We’ve seen Dolly Parton deliver a tearful tribute to her old friend, and Brad Paisley, Vince Gill and Marty Stuart honored Kenny during last night’s Grand Ole Opry telecast, but now, here we have Jake Owen with a heartfelt tribute performance of “She Believes In Me.”
And when it comes to covering old country tunes, Jake is one of the best at it.
“One of my favorite songs of all time. Completely describes what it’s like being a musician. The late nights. The dreams. The woman standing beside you believing in you. What we all need more than anything. I’m sad to know Kenny has passed on, but can only strive to leave a legacy the way he did in this world.”
RIP Kenny.
