A 17-year-old “snake charmer” from wheat country walked into her American Idol audition last night, and she walked out with a ticket to Hollywood.
MaKayla Brownlee hails from Wellington, Kansas and when she isn’t singing, she likes to spend her time snake hunting, yes, I said snake hunting. And not only that, she get bitten every single time?
(Hopefully, she sings better than she catches snakes…)
And while the competition is stiff, she impressed the judges with her cover of the Dixie Chicks’ “Travelin’ Soldier” enough to punch her ticket to Hollywood.
