This is just getting worse and worse, and unfortunately, it’s probably just the beginning.
Amid the concerts, festivals, fanless March Madness tournament, and the NBA season, you can go ahead and throw the NHL season and NCAA conference conference tournaments into the big shit soup of canceled events due to Coronavirus.
Announced today, the ACC, Big East, Big Ten, Big 12, SEC and Pac-12 have all canceled their conference tournaments. The American, Atlantic 10, Conference USA, MAC, America East, Big Sky and WAC tourneys will be canceled as well.
“Some things are bigger than basketball,” Michigan coach Juwan Howard said in a statement according to ESPN. “This is a global situation and we need to make sure we follow the guidance and direction of the experts and health officials.”
