I can’t imagine the heartache that Josh Turner and his entire team are going through right now.
Last week, David Turner, Josh’s longtime sound engineer, was killed when the crew’s tour bus veered off the highway, through a fence, and crashed down an embankment near Shandon, CA. Josh and the band were following behind in a separate bus.
Still struggling to find the words, Josh released a statement yesterday evening regarding the devastating bus accident that took the life of one of his beloved crew members, and seriously injured many others. He also provided a link to a GoFundMe page to garner support for the families.
“As I try to write this I don’t know what to say. It’s a struggle to put into words the devastation and grief that our road family is trying to process. We lost a beloved member of our team, David Turner. He was like a brother to so many in this industry and a devoted husband, father and grandfather. Please continue to keep David’s family in your prayers.
All of our crew suffered significant injuries and many have long roads to recovery. I would ask that you give them privacy during this time.
