Parker McCollum Says He Offered To Fill In For Evan Felker Of Turnpike Troubadours While He Gets Well

As country music fans know, the Turnpike Troubadours are on an indefinite hiatus.

Lead singer Evan Felker needs help and the fans pleaded with him to seek it. It’s been a tragic situation to watch unfold. Time will tell how Evan and the band approach the future. Right now, the focus is on Evan getting well.

In a very interesting tweet, rising country star Parker McCollum out of Texas (who was recently on our podcast) said he offered to fill in for Evan. There have been cases where things like this have happened in music – for example, Axl Rose filling in for Brian Johnson of AC/DC.

Parker has been an outspoken mega-fan of Turnpike, and the gesture was done completely out of respect for one of the best bands on the planet.

Even though this likely won’t be happening, Parker is a superstar in the making, that’s for sure.
