Are the Turnpike Troubadours dropping an album over the same weekend as The Boys From Oklahoma shows in Stillwater, Oklahoma? If this billboard leads us astray, this is the most f**ked up delayed April Fools’ Day prank of all time.
A Twitter user shared a picture indicating that a new album from the Oklahoma Red Dirt band, the Turnpike Troubadours, is coming SOON. The photo appears to be taken by a Stillwater local, who shared it to a Turnpike Troubadours fan page.
Spotted on the highway in Stillwater, Oklahoma, is a billboard sign that reads:
“Turnpike Troubadours ‘The Price Of Admission’ New album streaming April 11th.”

The Turnpike Troubadours don’t seem to be pulling our leg with this one, given their website also teases something “coming soon.”
Of course the font and colors on the website seem to fit with the styling of the billboard. Plus, Evan Felker’s wife Staci also seemed to confirm that the announcement was real on her Instagram page.
While there has not been an official announcement made by the band yet, given they have sprinkled in at recent shows they were working on a new album, promising fans new music in 2025, this is right on course for those statements.
April 10 through the 13th is fixing to be one hell of a weekend. Four sold-out nights in Boone Pickens Stadium. Cross Canadian Ragweed is returning to the stage with Turnpike and many other talented artists for a stellar concert. And now adding a new Turnpike Troubadours record to the mix that weekend.
