Laci Kaye Booth has been riding high since the release of her new single “Luck Of The Draw.” Leading up to the singles release, fans had been begging for it after she first teased it on social media. The nostalgic tune highlights the importance of making the best out of what you’re given.

Penned by Booth, Ben West, and Ryman Wooten, the verses highlight the things going wrong in life, painting a picture of the chaos unfolding in life.

During the chorus, it feels as though Booth is pleading with the universe to bring her some good news, as she admits that the hardships she’s facing are making her lose her faith. But instead of thinking about it in that light, she shifts her perspective, knowing that one day she will have a hand of cards that is in her favor, but until then, she will blame it on the luck of the draw.

John Mayer raved about the single on his weekly segment on his SiriusXM channel, Life with John Mayer. The segment, called New Music Friday Tuesday, is a time when he highlights new songs released on Fridays and plays them on the following Tuesday.
