Good Luck Charm? Morgan Wallen Has Now Been On The Winning Car For Both The Indy 500 & The Brickyard 400

Might need Morgan on the car every week.

Corey Heim scored an incredible win yesterday in the Brickyard 400 at Indianapolis Motor Speedway, his second career NASCAR Cup Series win in only his 15th start in the series. What really makes the feat nearly unrivaled in NASCAR history, though, is that Heim isn’t even a full-time driver yet: The 2025 NASCAR Truck Series champion is driving part time this season before going full time in 2027 with 23XI Racing.

His win yesterday also happened to be the first win as primary sponsor for Field & Stream, which signed on as a partner for 23XI Racing earlier this year.

(I mean, just look at how beautiful that paint scheme is).

But while it was the first win for Field & Stream, it turns out one of their owners has already scored another big win in motorsports.

The iconic outdoors brand is owned by country music superstars Eric Church and Morgan Wallen. And this year’s Indianapolis 500 winner, Felix Rosenqvist, also happened to be driving a Morgan Wallen-sponsored car.

Rosenqvist, who’s now in his 8th full-time season in the IndyCar Series, scored his first win in the Indy 500 earlier this season in a car sponsored by Sirius XM to promote Morgan’s channel, Morgan Wallen Radio, that launched earlier this year.

The car featured the radio station’s logo, complete with Morgan’s name in camo inspired by his love for the outdoors:

That’s two wins for Morgan Wallen at Indianapolis Motor Speedway in 3 months. Not too shabby.

Ironically, like Heim’s win in the Brickyard 400, the Indy 500 victory was also Rosenqvist’s second career IndyCar Series win…so if I had realized beforehand that Morgan’s such a good luck charm I could have won a lot of money betting on Corey Heim to win yesterday.

Of course it shouldn’t be a surprise, because everything Morgan Wallen touches turns to gold right now. He’s currently wrapping up his Still the Problem Tour, which is on track to become the highest-grossing country tour EVER at over $500 million.

He also scored his 21st career #1 on the Billboard Country Airplay chart this week with his latest single “Don’t We,” the record-breaking 7th single from his I’m the Problem album.

Morgan teamed up with Eric Church to buy Field & Stream back in 2023, an historic move for the iconic brand that brought ownership of both the media platform and the retail side of the iconic outdoors brand under the same ownership for the first time. This consolidated ownership has allowed the brand to not only relaunch Field & Stream Magazine, but also branch out into new verticals like Field & Stream TV and a limited-edition Field & Stream apparel line inspired by Church and Wallen.

It seems like the partnership between 23XI Racing and Field & Stream is already paying off pretty well, thanks in no small part to the phenom they have behind the wheel. The outdoors brand will also be on the #67 car with Heim behind the wheel later this fall at Charlotte Motor Speedway, which seems like a good omen for the 23XI Racing team.

But it also serves as a lesson to any other drivers out there: If you want to win at Indy, just put Morgan on your car.

Seems to be the good luck charm these days.
